What’s in the Brand-Kit
- Company details: company name and legal form, address, phone, email, website, VAT number, registration details, management and bank details. Every field is optional.
- Team: first name, last name, job title, department, extension, mobile and email – paste the whole list from Excel in one go. Empty phone and email fields fall back to the company values.
- Brand colours: with exact CMYK values, just as they appear in your style guide. The first colour is your primary colour.
- Logo: in three variants – standard, negative for dark areas and single colour. A PDF or AI file stays real vector artwork.
- Brand fonts: one font for headings, one for body text – from the built-in fonts or as your own font file.
- Custom fields: for everything else, such as opening hours.
One click, any print piece
When you create a new document you pick the product type – business card, letterhead, envelope, gift voucher and many more – and LaydoStudio can fill it right away: the logo in its place, plus the contact block on the business card, the footer on the letterhead or the return address on the envelope. Single details go in with a click just the same.
The values stay linked to the Brand-Kit. When a phone number changes you update it once, and every document shows the new details the next time you open it. You can see at a glance which blocks the current document already uses.
Business cards for the whole team
Design the business card once and choose “Whole team”: LaydoStudio turns it into one batch PDF with a card per person, for a single department if you like. The contact QR code holds each person’s own digital business card (vCard).
Colours that match in print
LaydoStudio can read your brand colours straight from your logo: exactly from a PDF or AI file, including CMYK values and spot colour names such as Pantone, exactly from SVG too, and as an estimate to accept from PNG and JPG. Your brand colours always sit at the top of the colour picker. A CMYK value you enter lands in the print PDF exactly as entered – no detour via the screen.
The logo always in the right place
You decide where the logo goes: with an anchor point, a width and the distance to the edge, in millimetres or as a percentage of the page. The rule applies to every print piece, and you can set exceptions per product type – smaller and closer to the edge on the business card, for example.
Design first, capture it later
Sometimes the look only takes shape while you design. Then you take it straight from your draft into the Brand-Kit: a colour as a brand colour, an image as the logo, the logo’s position as the rule for that product type.
Several brands, kept apart
If you look after several companies, brands or clients, create a Brand-Kit for each. Every brand is its own workspace with its own documents, and the editor always shows which one you’re in. You can hand a brand over as a file – just the Brand-Kit or together with all its documents.
Your data stays with you
LaydoStudio stores the Brand-Kit and your documents in a folder of your choice (in Chrome and Edge – Dropbox, iCloud Drive or a network drive work well), in your browser’s local storage, or as a file you save yourself – never on our servers. That goes for your team members’ details, too.
The fields for registration details, VAT number and management are a help, not legal advice. Which details your business stationery must show depends on your country and legal form.
What it costs
The Brand-Kit is part of LaydoStudio Pro (€6/month or €48/year), which automatically covers Snuglay too. Designing and exporting print-ready PDFs stays free.
